EDUCATION

Ward Halverson attended both public and private high schools, finishing at Lakeside School in Seattle, Washington, in 1988. He then came east at the age of 17 to attend college in upstate New York, where he has stayed since. While at Hamilton College, Ward took time off to backpack across Southeast Asia, ultimately to Sydney, Australia, where he attended The University of New South Wales. After returning and graduating from Hamilton, Ward pursued a masters in Secondary Education from The College of Saint Rose in Albany until 1997, later refocusing his interests in psychology and sociology at Syracuse University's School of Social Work. He completed a Masters in Social Work in 2000. He received his basic license to practice, or CSW, in 2000, his intermediate license, or LCSW, in 2002 while in Connecticut, and his advanced license, or LCSW-R, in 2007.
